Work With Me

Rewrite Your Second-Half Script

Live authentically.

Create boldly.

Make your LIFE a work of ART.

For creative men in midlife who are ready to break free from the outdated rules and live on their own terms.

You want more than just surviving

The Villain: The First-Half Script

The First-Half Script is written by the ego — and in the beginning, it works.

It helps us build, achieve, and survive. It gives us structure and identity, teaching us how to navigate the world. BUT…

  • it prizes image over essence

  • control over connection

  • achievement over aliveness.

To step into the second half of life, we have to set aside the ego’s script and begin writing the soul’s story built on meaning, creativity, and a more fuller life.

This is why, before you can fully return to your art, you must work through your midlife transition.

If the First-Half Script is still running the show, it will keep pulling you back into old patterns, draining your energy, blocking your creativity, and making your work and life feel hollow.

When you address the transition first, your art doesn’t just return, it has matured with you and it will flourish, just as you have.

How this shows up

Inside: Shame. Guilt. Anger. The sense that you’ve wasted your best years.

Outside: Distracting, numbing, chasing “answers” outside yourself—only to be more frustrated and confused.

The Result: Creative blocks. Isolation. Disconnection from yourself and others.

It Was Never Supposed to Be This Way

  • You went along with the script just like everyone else.

  • No one told you midlife would hit like this.

  • You weren’t taught to ask for help or trust your creative voice for anything other than to make art. That can feel devastating.

I’ve been there

I chased the dream of being a novelist. After I didn’t get the “success” of publication that my ego had promised me, I quit.

Too wounded in my inner life and too ashamed in my outer life, I drank and condemned myself a failure.

In the sober hours, I scrounged what little willpower I had left consuming self-help media that only put a band-aid on my wounds but didn’t work to heal them.

Finally, I broke and reached out for help with my close friends, a therapist I’m still with, and men’s groups that helped me connect with other midlife men.

Most of all, I returned to solitude with creative play and simple journaling—the practices that freed me from the creative expectations of my first half.

All of this forced me to face myself, to shoulder my responsibility, and gave me the confidence to get to work on the rest of my life.

Now, I guide creative men through their own midlife transitions, helping them reclaim their art, their voice, and their life.

How I can guide you

I’ve walked this path myself, and I’ve gathered tools and experience I now share with the men I coach.

The Plan

3 Steps to Reclaim Your Second Half

  1. Connect – Download 5 Signs You’re in Midlife Transition

  2. Clarify – Identify the beliefs and habits holding you back.

  3. Create – Build your Second-Half Script and start living it now.

What you’ll gain

  • A clear Second-Half Script — a written, personal vision for the rest of your life (to be edited as you grow, of course), built from your own values and creativity.

  • A consistent, creative practice — at least one protected time each week to work on your art w/o expectations and journal w/o judgments.

  • Creative freedom rooted in wholeness — because you’ve done the inner work of your midlife transition, your art flows from a deeper, truer place.

  • Emotional fluency — the ability to name, process, and express your emotions without shame or shutdown.

  • Reclaimed energy — breaking habits that drain you (overwork, numbing) and replacing them with habits that restore you.

  • A support network — working with a fellow creative midlife man who’s been there but will also encourage you to find your fellow pathwalkers.

  • Momentum — a system to keep you moving toward your goals even when motivation fades.

What You’ll Avoid (The Cost of Staying Stuck)

  • An undefined Second Self — drifting through the second half of life without clarity or direction.

  • Creative stagnation — months or years without producing work that excites or challenges you.

  • Emotional shutdown — continuing to avoid or suppress feelings until they resurface as burnout or resentment.

  • Energy leaks — losing hours to numbing habits that keep you from real rest or joy.

  • Isolation — going through your midlife challenges alone without guidance or connection.

  • Perpetual restart — cycling through books, courses, and quick fixes without lasting change.

The Transformation

From: Anxious, disconnected, and convinced your best years are behind you.

To: Courageous, confident, and living a life that’s meaningful and creatively all your own.
